the Directive and the Regulation on designs and models on the
copyrightability of works. Current legal issues in the music business

A relação da Tecnologia com o Direito de Autor sempre foi dominante na modelação deste
último. No entanto, a multiplicação de tecnologias amplia, muito mais, essa difícil
relação. Nos últimos tempos, não se tem falado noutra coisa. Foi o Napster, o MP3, a
descodificação do DVD, é a incessante troca de ficheiros musicais na Internet, são as
perdidas afiançadas pela indústria discográfica, é o crescimento exponencial da
pirataria, são os novos suportes, como o telemóvel, que trazem novos desafios e receitas
aos titulares de direitos, é o audiovisual, o multimédia, são os livros electrónicos,
os jornalistas on-line, a televisão interactiva, o pay-per-view, as licenças legais, a
gestão colectiva, a nova lei "Direito de Autor e Sociedade da Informação"...

Quando a maior indústria do mundo, a do entretenimento, se inquieta, é tempo de analisar
a relação com o Direito de Autor e os tribunais que o aplicam.
